We celebrate baptism at Community for three reasons:
- for a person who has accepted the love and forgiveness of Christ into their lives, it is a natural next step and a tangible step of faith and obedience to God.
- it invites God’s blessing on your life.
- it is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ.
If you’re ready to take this step of obedience in your walk with Jesus, you need to do two things:
First, submit this Baptism Class Sign-Up Form and attend the Baptism Class which takes place the 3rd Sunday of each month at 9:30am, downstairs in room G22 (the GROW classroom). This class will help you better understand what baptism means and allow you to ask your questions. At the end of the class you'll have the opportunity to sign up for a one on one meeting with a ministry staff member who will be your point of contact throughout the baptism process.
Secondly, attend one of our upcoming GROW: Essentials classes where you’ll learn about water baptism.
GROW: Essentials is held the second Sunday of every month at 11:15am after the first service in room G22 on the lower level.
You might have a number of questions, including:
Why should I be baptized?
I was baptized as a child, do I have to do it again?
Does it matter whether someone is sprinkled or fully immersed?
If so, please take some time to review these Baptism Questions.
